Lynn Kawamoto is part of the prestigious Fred Astaire Dance Studios National Dance Board team that actively coaches Students & Instructors in dance studio locations across their network.

She oversees Dance Instructor training and certification, judges (Professional, Amateur, Pro/Am) at Regional and National Fred Astaire Dance Studio Dance Competition events

Lynn believes that balance is important in the dance business. Being well-versed in dancing as well business will ensure success for anyone.

She has been with Fred Astaire Dance Studios for over 25 years. She has won many awards, including the coveted Freddy Award 7 times, the W.L. Miller Award for Top Teacher in the Southeastern Region, as well as Manager of the Year Award.

In 2004 Lynn took over managing the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida and brought the studio to over $1 million in gross revenue for the first time. She continued managing that studio for the next 2-1/2 years, where it continued to gross over $1 million and was on par to hit $1.3 million in her last year.

As a Professional Competitor, her list of accomplishments include Undefeated Fred Astaire Southeastern Regional Rhythm Champion; Gator Classic Rhythm Champion; Sunshine State Rhythm Champion; Sarasota Rhythm Champion; Central Florida Heat Rhythm Champion; Florida State Rhythm Champion; United States R.S. Rhythm Finalist; and Fred Astaire National Rhythm Finalist.

Lynn is currently the Regional Dance Director of the Tampa Bay Area and enjoys traveling coaching, choreographing, adjudicating, and just helping people to achieve their goals.
